Most of the roof panels and wall panels in the steel structure workshop will use color steel plate as the enclosure system, and a few will be filled with air-entrained blocks. Some factories will choose single-layer color steel sheet, while some factories will choose color steel sandwich panels to achieve good thermal insulation performance and sound insulation effect. Today, let’s briefly talk about how to control the construction quality of color steel plates.
Reduce seams
When hoisting and transportation conditions permit, long-sized boards should be used to reduce joints in the boards and improve the thermal insulation performance and waterproofing effect of the boards.
Plate fixed
In the fixation of color steel sandwich panels, there is an overlap between every two pieces of transverse waves. The overlapping surface is sealed with sealing tape, then sealed with waterproof sealant, and fixed with self-tapping screws and purlins.
Screw density
There should be no less than three screws at the end of each color steel plate. At the middle support, when the spacing between purlins is greater than 3 meters, at least one self-tapping connecting plate should be overlapped on the purlins. In order to ensure the overlapping length requirements, the overlapping parts should be connected with rivets and waterproofed.
Rivet spacing
The overlap of the edge-wrapped color steel sheet should be as far downwind as possible. The overlap length should be greater than 2~5 cm, and the distance between rivets should be less than 50 cm. Self-tapping rivets should be shot at the top and waterproof. Scratches and rust are not allowed on the color steel plate surface. If so, remedial measures should be taken to paint or replace.
The color steel plates play a role in sound insulation, heat preservation and other protection for indoor equipment, and create a comfortable workplace for the indoor production environment. Therefore, the quality of the color steel sandwich panels must be guaranteed.
