Steel structure factory buildings are also divided into light steel structure and heavy steel structure. The main service direction of general heavy-duty steel structure workshop is industrial production enterprises, especially production workshops. Among them, the steel mills must use heavy steel structure workshops. As for how to define a heavy-duty steel structure workshop, it mainly depends on the columns. Because heavy-duty steel structure workshops have large-scale cranes, and the lifting capacity of these cranes ranges from tens to hundreds of tons, the load of the columns has become a standard for measuring heavy-duty steel structure factory building.
Specifically, the following conditions can be used to analyze whether it is a heavy-duty steel structure factory building:
1. The driving weight of the steel structure workshop is greater than 25 tons.
2. The amount of steel used per square meter is greater than or equal to 50kg/㎡.
3. The thickness of the main component steel plate is greater than or equal to 10mm.
4. Cost per square meter, maximum component weight, maximum span, structural form, eaves height, etc.
All of the above can determine whether the factory building is a heavy steel structure or a light steel structure. Of course, it does not rule out that the steel structure is a combination of light and heavy. There are also some plants that we can say with certainty are heavy steel: petrochemical plant facilities, power plant plants, long-span stadiums, exhibition centers, high-rise or super high-rise steel structure buildings, etc.
The classification of steel structures is relatively wide, and can be roughly divided into construction steel structures, pipeline container steel structures, power transmission steel structures, and other steel structures. The steel structure we often refer to is construction steel structure, and the boundary between light steel structure and heavy steel structure is not very obvious, and there is no clear regulation in national specifications and technical documents. Generally, we will call the steel member with the thickness of H-shaped steel column greater than 25mm as heavy steel structure.
