What affects the build quality of metal garage buildings?

Steel Building Kits

There are more and more metal garage buildings, and the construction is mainly composed of five parts: steel columns, steel beams, steel roof trusses, steel roofs, and external wall enclosures. It also includes some components such as corner braces, horizontal supports, anchor bolts, connecting steel plates, etc. So what impact do these five main components have on the overall quality of the metal garage buildings?

The main part of the steel structure garage is that it can be built with different materials. Different materials also have certain differences in natural performance and quality, and different types of garage buildings can also be built. Such as metal garage, steel garage, brick-concrete garages and other types of buildings. Only by controlling the quality of related components can the overall installation quality be improved.

In the metal garage buildings structure, the most common main components include steel columns and steel beams, which are mainly used to support and load-bearing the garage, and are also an important part of the steel structure garage. Steel columns are divided into solid web columns and lattice columns according to the cross-sectional form. The solid web column has an overall section, the most commonly used is the I-shaped section and the H-shaped section. The cross-section of the lattice column is divided into two or more limbs, and the limbs are connected by strips or panels. When the load is large and the column body is wide, the amount of steel used is less.

Steel beams are divided into shaped steel beams and composite beams. Steel beams can be used for crane beams and working platform beams in garage workshops, floor beams in multi-storey buildings, purlins in roof structures, etc. Shaped steel beams are made of hot-rolled I-beams or channel steels. The manufacturing and processing of shaped steel beams is simple and the cost is relatively low, but the cross-sectional size of the shaped steel has certain specifications. When the load and span are large and the steel section cannot meet the strength, stiffness or stability requirements, the composite beam is used.

Composite beams are welded or riveted by steel plates or section steels. Because riveting is labor-intensive and material-intensive, welding is often the main method. Commonly used welded composite beams are H-shaped cross-sections and box-shaped cross-sections composed of upper and lower flange plates and webs. The latter is more expensive in materials, and the production process is more complicated, but it has greater flexural rigidity and torsional rigidity, and is more suitable for situations where there are lateral loads and high torsional requirements, or the beam height is limited.
