Canglong Group provided a complete structural solution for a 1600 square meter warehouse project for an Australian client and completed delivery. We have designed and supplied a sturdy, durable, and cost-effective modern warehouse with a fully galvanized steel structures as the core and brick walls as the enclosure, tailored to the needs of our customers and the local environmental characteristics.
The excellence of this solution is reflected in the following core aspects:
1. Main structure
The skeleton of the project is entirely made of highly corrosion-resistant galvanized steel structures, ensuring the building’s ultra long service life in various climate conditions along the coast or inland of Australia.
Beams and columns: The main load-bearing structures (beams and columns) are made of galvanized H-beams. H-beams are known for their excellent mechanical properties, and the reasonable distribution of belly plates and flanges enables them to have extremely high bending and compressive strength when subjected to huge vertical and horizontal loads. This provides an incredibly stable and secure support framework for the entire warehouse, offering column free flexibility for the vast interior space, greatly facilitating logistics and warehousing planning.
Purline system: The secondary structure of the roof adopts galvanized C-shaped steel. C-type purlins are lightweight and high-strength, perfectly connected to the main steel frame, forming a uniformly stressed roof system. Its galvanized surface is in line with the main steel frame, providing comprehensive rust protection and ensuring long-term reliability.
2. Innovative double slope roof design
We have adopted the classic double pitched roof design for the warehouse. This design not only has a simple and atmospheric appearance, but also has important functional advantages:
Efficient drainage: Slopes in two directions can quickly guide rainwater to flow towards both sides, avoiding the formation of water accumulation on flat roofs, especially suitable for seasonal heavy rainfall weather in some parts of Australia, fundamentally eliminating water leakage hazards.
Internal space optimization: The double sloping roof creates a higher clearance in the center of the warehouse, which is conducive to the upper row of internal air circulation and heat accumulation, while reserving sufficient space for possible future installation of driving and other equipment.
3. Enclosure system
In the selection of the enclosure structure, we adopted a combination scheme that balances traditional durability and modern efficiency:
Wall: Made of sturdy brick walls. Brick walls not only provide excellent fire, heat, and sound insulation performance, but also give the building a heavy, classic industrial appearance that blends harmoniously with the surrounding environment, while having extremely low maintenance costs.
Roof: The roof covering layer is made of high-performance color steel plates. This type of sheet is made of galvanized substrate as the bottom layer and coated with a highly weather resistant colored coating (such as PVDF). It is not only lightweight and easy to install, but also has excellent corrosion resistance, UV resistance, and weather resistance. Its smooth surface can effectively reflect sunlight, reduce thermal radiation, and help reduce the cooling energy consumption inside the warehouse.
